MISCELLANEOUS PICTURES

Here is a few of us just sitting around and talking. Thats me in the green dress. Its not a good picture but it is the only one I have of that green dress. Its the only one I have ever bought and I added a checked vest, a shash and a ruffle along the bottom of the skirt. My petticoats kept peaking out from under it before. I am talking to Donnie.

This was taken in 2001 at North Anna. DeLenn was just sitting there enjoying herself.

Here is a picture of Neil (center), Andy and Linda. I don't remember which event this was taken at but they sure do look like they are having fun. This is the norm for most all our events, even if it is hot or cold. We are I think more than just a unit, we are family. Everyone looks out for each other and I would trust anyone with my kids.

We were on our way to a dance. Look at them legs!!

That is us galls on the "Wee Lass" at a little place called Saltville in south western Va. It takes us 8 hours to drive there one way but is worth the trip. The whole town goes all out for the event and I have never been fed so well. Neil was helping us this day because at the time we did not have enough women to man a gun completely. I had the flu this weekend but I was able to sweat it out and was feeling better by Sat. afternoon. This picture was taken at the end of Aug 2001. Saltville was an important place during the war because they were the major supplier of salt peter for the Confederacy. They never fell to Union forces either.

Here is a great pic of around 20 cannons side by side taken in 1999 at Appomatox for the reenactment of the battle which took place right before Lee surendered.

This was taken in 2000 at Saylors creek.

This is one of my faverite pictures and I have a copy of it framed on my dresser. This was taken by our friend Bob at the safe trick-or-treat party at the Virgina air & Space Center in Hampton in 1999. The space center has a large display of the Civil war (Navy history) so we fit right in.

I am not sure when this pic was taken but it is a great pic of Neil and DeLenn.

We did a living history in White Oak near Fredericksburg, Va in Dec. of 2000 and it was so cold and windy this weekend. This event is what caused me to buy heavy duity sleeping bags and a tent heater. I can honestly say that we have never been so cold and were happy to go home. But there were nice things this weekend. Locals would bring over hot muffens and stew to help keep us warm and they were very good too.
