GETTYSBURG
Here is DeLenn wearing Kathy's hat and gloves. She was 3 here and having the best time. This picture was taken at Gettysburg for the 135th anaversary of the battle, In July, 1998. This was my first event and I loved it. DeLenn and Neil had been doing it for a few months but this was the first weekend I could get away from work.
Here is neil on his way back to camp after a battle.
DeLenn was playing with her tea party set we got for her. I liked the set so much because it is plastic but looks like china. She still has most of the set too.
We picked up a paper kepis and a wood gun for DeLenn to play with. The way we were camped the units had to march by our camp to take the field. So DeLenn would march with them a little ways. When this unit came by she thought it would be fun to hold them up. I could not pass up the chance to get this pic too.
