This picture was taken in 2003 by the folks who run the event. It was nice to look at the disc with close to 200 images from the event. My thanks for the use if this picture.

When the order is given to take cover, this is what we do.

Many times I have a problem sleeping on Friday nites when we set up camp so I take a little nap on Sat. to keep going till late that nite. I usually sleep in my bed but it was such a nice day that I just spread my blanket on the ground and slept away.

Here are most of us relaxing and talking around the fire. This has to be my favorite spot to camp at this event. We have shade most of the day and the trees (Crape Myrtals) are in full bloom. Could you ask for a prettier place to camp?

This is a picture taken during the battle.

This is a cool picture of flames coming out of one of the guns. 2003

I can't tell you how many times we are asked "Do y'all sleep out here over nite?" and "What kinds of foods do y'all eat?" Well as you can see in this picture we are ready for any type of meal. If you can cook it at home, we can make it over the fire. The large fri pan has had as many as 5 doz. eggs happily cooking away in it as a part of our breakfast. And we always have at least one pot of coffee kept nice and hot on the fire through out the weekend.
